Financing

There are many options for financing a new or existing business. These include loans, loan guarantees, alternative loan sources, venture capital, and various state incentives. Contact Jason Pausma or Entrepreneurship Specialist Ray York for assistance with funding sources for your business.

We can also explain the myriad of funding programs depending on your business including those available from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, and other sources.

In 2019 Calumet County was awarded a $300,000 Brownfield Assessment Grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA).  In 2023, the Calumet County Coalition, with coalition members Calumet County, Outagamie County and Fox Cities Greenways, Inc., was awarded a $1,000,000 Brownfields Coalition Assessment Grant from the USEPA for assessment of sites affected by petroleum and/or hazardous material substances and also develop inventories of brownfields, prioritize sites, conduct community involvement activities, conduct site assessments, and/or develop cleanup plans and reuse plans related to brownfield sites located within the Coalition communities of Calumet and Outagamie Counties as part of efforts to spur redevelopment and reuse of these sites.  The grant dollars have and will help spur private investment dollars into our local communities by doing the critical assessment work needed for redevelopment of brownfield sites; adding to our tax base and making Calumet County an even better place to work and live.  More information is available here
