The County Clerk is a state constitutional officer who is elected by the public every four years. The Clerk has both statutory and non-statutory responsibilities.
County Clerk Responsibilities
- County Board Support – official record keeper for many county functions, including acting as the secretary to the County Board of Supervisors.
- Issues marriage and other licenses.
- Election Administration - organizes information about election rules and names of candidates for county offices, provides ballots to municipalities for voting purposes, and oversees election equipment programming.
