Get your caveman costumes on (optional) and run/walk our 5K adventure course (including caves) at Ledge View Nature Center or the 2.5K short course! Course is timed and winners in each category will receive additional prizes.

All early bird registrants get a T-shirt and exciting prizes!

Clearly marked trails with water stations and restroom.

The 5K or 2.5K course is moderately undulating through woods and prairie, a quarry and a cave. The trails are surfaced with gravel or grass. Obstacles include:

  • a 60ft observation tower

  • quarry trail (no rock climbing involved)

  • cave (walking and a little crawling)

  • fun trail obstacles.

Course is well marked and there will be ability progressive staging areas at the mass start line.

Parking at the nature center is VERY limited, so for your convenience we have a free shuttle to the nature center.


Bus leaves every 15 min starting 8 am until 1:00 pm


Parking at the nature center will be available for people with a handicap sticker on their vehicle.


You may pull into the parking lot at the nature center to drop off family/team members if you prefer.
